Apple Danish Cheesecake

Crust
1 C. Flour
1/2 C. Ground Almonds
1/4 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Cold Butter
1/4 tsp Almond Extract

Filling
2 Packages (8 oz) Cream Cheese
1/2 C. Sugar
1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
2 eggs

Topping
1/3 C. Brown Sugar
1 Tblsp Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
4 C. Apples (thinly sliced & peeled)
1/3 C. Slivered Almonds

Crust - In a small bowl combine flour, ground almonds, and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add extract. Shape crust in ball; Place between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and roll out into 10 inch Circle. Transfer to greased 9 inch spring-form pan; gently press dough against bottom & up sides of pan. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Filling - Beat together cream cheese, sugar, and cream of tartar beat till smooth. Add eggs, beat until combined. Pour over crust

Topping - In a bowl combine sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Add apples and stir till coated. Spoon over filling. Sprinkle with Almonds

Bake cheesecake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes
